Purchasing directly from us means you get a DRM-free installer which is yours to keep forever and that more of your money goes directly to the developers. As a bonus you also (for most games) get a free Steam key which gives you access to play the game via Steam also.
Cheers

Steam is exposure to new markets and new faces.
Not everyone knows of Slitherine Group (sad as that is).
I think it is personally a major perk and a very generous act that Slitherine Group extends free Steam keys to all purchases direct from the Slitherine Group store. It's also smart business as we just basically end up promoting the company on Steam in the process and it is good free publicity. And advertising is never free or cheap.

To be honest I'm still none the wiser I see a slitherine game and think I'll give it a go like I'll see FIFA on Xbox and give it a go must be a brand snob eh ? But if they continually make good games why go anywhere else ? Is it mainly for PC ? I only play iPad and Xbox is that why I have no idea what it is

Steam currently is entirely desktop PC/Mac or Linux. I think you can play some PS game with steam community features but you cant buy them there. If you don't know or care about steam you really don't need to worry. Nothing changes as far as you are concerned!

Only games that have an official release date are on the list currently.
The list has been updated with the 3 recently dated titles.

You might want to update the first post - at least 2 of the games listed as 'Upcoming' have been released.
Also, may I suggest the Decisive Campaigns series (Warsaw-Paris and Case Blue) be put on at some stage?

Sorry to ask a "Stupid" question, but what is Steam? Is there any advantage to purchasing from Steam as to purchasing from Slitherene/Matrix?

It is just a digital shop. A lot of people like it but a lot of people don't want their DRM so prefer to buy from us direct (you get a steam key anyway when you buy from us). You don't need to use it, it is just another option!

Re Linux: I have no desire to ever use Linux on a desktop/laptop machine. Windows isn't going away and probably neither is Linux but I doubt Linux will ever be mainstream on the desktop.

We have so many new games coming that finding time to re-release old games is not that simple. Up till the end of the year it will be new releases only but after Christmas we might be able to get some older games out.
