Warning, the Umayid list incorrectly uses MF images for the LF hillmen with Javelins. I accidentally chose the LF in one of my lists and only realized the error when deploying when I appeared to have MF that could deploy in the skirmisher deployment area. I resigned the game using that list and reposted the challenge.

A reminder that terrain is very open. Whoever wins should pick a map with no obvious advantage. This is to prevent standoffs and remove the unfairness of losing because of the initiative die. All armies can win in the open.

the previous result was more in line with expectations for nubians. i suspect ricoual lined up his nubians shoulder to shoulder and suffered chain reaction routing.

lols I see fogman's comments about Nubians this one then is not in line with those thoughts...
rexhurley (Nubians) 37/50 beat Batesmotel (Arabs) 33/33
batesmotel: 7.4
rexhurley: 10.0
thanks for the game where my cavalry were able to draw his off and fight out a swirling mass on my left which ended in the rout of my camel and half of my cavalry what they did though was to buy enough time to allow the foot to move in from their flank position surround and mob the arab spear left in the middle.

thanks for the game.
this game is a round 2 matchup.
It should have been Arabs vs Byzantines, not nubians.
Rex, reissue the challenge: you (arabs) vs Byzantines (Ulysisgrunt)
I will count the arabs/nubians result for round 2.

actually it was! i was referring to your game vs ulysisgrunt's nubians. the nubians don't need to run for the hills as all armies are tested to be able to win in the open, which allows for the terrain settings to be set to very open, and eliminate the nefarious influence of the initiative die.
