Well as moderator I really shouldn't be rude about competing rulesets
If you want to know about my thoughts on said rules watch the DBMM Yahoo group this week. I have a number of questions that I will be raising.

Any way back to the plot
It was good to see that not playing the rules since Usk earlier in the year, did not hinder the enjoyment or the chance of a place.
There were several changes that caught me out and some of these I will return to when I collect my thoughts tomorrow.
Too tied tonight after long drive home.

Can I just say, that after all my talk of elephants behavour and the ability of generals to control them, that true to form my elephants had the last laugh, and very much at my expense.
In most cases it took at least three attempts for them to pass a CMT, even with a general.
In two seperate games they were shoot at three times on the trot and failed each test, routing on the third test never to rally.
As I now have the notes for the Alexandrian list and I now know that the elephants cannot be used with the number of Greeks I had, it will not be a problem in the future.

In a recent game I was on the receiving end of elephants.
I had a BG of Lancers who'd pursued to a position practically flank on to some elephants.
They passed a CMT to turn to face my flank
I failed a CMT to not charge enemy to the front.
The elephants intercepted.
Result... They broke that cavalry BG, followed up into another cavalry BG and broke that, with another cavalry BG going to FRG because of the CT's ... Ouch! ouch! ouch!
