If you meet another one I will be really surprised and it might be the perfect anti-Alisdair army. All you have to do is get drawn on the top table first round and you are made...

I think there are more Tuareg armies out there than you think. I played Wayne Dares at Britcon 2years ago, and who can forget Phil Barkers from the dbm days.... The reason that CM (s) was quite so successful

There are probably better African armies out there. Western Sudanese with Tuareg allies seems reasonable.
Cool to paint those funky African barded cavalry

At least there's not too much horseflesh to paint on those! On the other hand those patchwork quilts look like loads of work.

Sorry, I meant 'you are unlikely to meet too many under FoGR'...

It's not so bad for 4-6 bases. An army of them would be something else.
I find it hard to get enthusiastic about the african armies though.

Here are some options (in rough order of preference)
- Indonesian with Dutch allies (cool Models and available)
Western Sudanese with Tuareg Allies (cool Models and available)
Qing or Ming (not so great models, but lots of shooting)
Japanese (cool models but drole)
what do your reckon? eagles or turkeys?
I'll think I'll go to the park, while its sunny, and draw up some lists

Whatever you chose, it will look fantastic and be awesomely painted!
Having seen your Ikko Ikki I'd love to see Samurai. However Ming may look good too.

I have to admit 15mm ranges for Renaissance are not inspiring ... Esp for what I'd call colourful armies. Maybe my expectations are too high

Any clues as to what it is Simon? Manufacturer, Continent, FOG book? I assume it will be pretty but will it be deadly?!

suffice to say if you went there on your holidays now you'd need jabs.... and more likely an AK
I'll leave you in suspense as I'll probably document it as a blog project
