It's been LOTRO for the last couple of years.

We have 7 teams for the inaugral Fog R tournament at the Derby World Team competition. These are:
Burton
Central London Mediocre
Milton Keynes
Oxford
SELWG A
SELWG Too
Mercenaries.
I can't say whose playing in each period yet because I don't know! This wasn't specified on the entry information I received, so I won't have it until I receive Army Lists. I'd appreciate these as soon as possible, next week is the traditional 2 weeks prior to the event deadline. Many thanks to those eager people who have sent theirs already.
Sadly an odd number of teams means one team will receive a bye each round. Each player will receive 10 points for the purpose of the draw, which will be replaced by the average of their other scores for the weekend at the end, with a minimum of 10. If anything changes between now and the event I'll send out an update.
I'll post any updates to this Forum and also send them by email to the contact I have for each team.
Cheers,
Kevin

Shocking. I hope you will be enforcing the deploy whole army first penalty.

Following my request at the weekend it's now down to just two. Given the normal reliability of those concerned I believe their lists may have gone astray, I've sent a query to that effect.

Some juicy matchups there and some very strong teams - Oxford have almost brought out their best team!!
I see Mr Harley is going for his "Every base has a horse" list again - just so he can run away if the going gets tough!! Coward!
Period 3 with Muggles and Japanese looks fun - can't wait for my 10-10 with Paddy - is there a sweepstake on how many guns he'll have. Mr Allen will obviously struggle as he's never played an army with so few BG's in it and actually has quite a bit of superior foot!! Still we should get some very historical Japanese civil wars!
Roll on the 6th and here's to a great weekend!

In response to such gross slander from the milton keynes contingent personally although I didn't play great at Britcon I don't feel I weaken the Oxford team that much and as to my Tatar it is the new improved version which has more foot than ever before (not difficult as the old version had no foot)
can't wait

With only two pedestrian armies in pool 1, I don't think Mr Harley has much scope for running away.
As for the suggestion that I might struggle with a small number of units, Don has clearly failed to spot how cheap those Ashigaru are. Be assured I will be in my comfort zone with vast quantities of ditch diggers waiting to play catch with lightweight Moghul cannonballs.

And go down like 9-pins to the heavy ones.

Hi all,
I'm looking to take the Mughal Elephants out for something to eat tonight in Derby - what do you suggest - a minging Chinese or a half cooked japanese?!
Still they'll get lots of that foreign muck to eat over the weekend - maybe just stick to a curry tonight as usual!!!
Looking forward to it.
See ya tomorrow!

Can I just echo the thanks to Kevin for running a great weekend and more importantly to all my opponents for 4 really close games. Also my teammates Jim Gibson and Richard B-S for a really enjoyable and sociable weekend.
I really felt for Chris Richards as his 1st 5 death rolls were a 1 and the 6th was a 2 (after I had sorted 2 hits!!!) - I would have committed Hari Kiri (well Chris was using a samurai!). Equally my last game against Lynette's Japanese was remarkable for my shooting failing to cause either a base loss or a failed CT, yet in melee, although my dice weren't great, Lynette invariably rolled less and as for her CT dice - the less said the better. Thanks also to Paddy for my usual 10-10 draw and Andy K for a great game.
The themes were really fantastic and produced some really close games and few outright wins.
Here's to next year but first hope to see you all at Warfare.

Team Result
Here is the Team Result for the weekend. An incredibly close finish with just a point between the two top teams after 12 games. Congratulations to MKWS (Don Avis, Jim Gibson and Richard Bodley-Scott). I thought MKWS stood for "Milton Keynes Wargames Society" but I've decided must be "Milton Keynes (& Welsh) Submariners".
* The Final score is the total including any adjustment resulting from the players having had a Bye.
Thanks to all of the players for making the event a pleasure to organise. Since we have a shield with spaces for more winners it looks like we're good to go for next year.

Pool 1: The early European Renaissance - Result
Here are the results for Pool 1. Congratulations to Alasdair for a convincing win in this pool.
The "Bonus" scores represent the adjustment made for players who received a Bye based on the average of their actual games.
