Any comments on the changes to single player mode as suggested by the OP (me

)?

SP random scenarios, or partially random, could be fun. But as to its possibility from a coding point of view, I'll leave that to devs.

All for it - that was my first reply to this thread… And still for it here.
And sorry for stealing your thread.

Hmm
*I dont think that randomizing deployment will help and possibly be frustrating if the "randomizer" really hosed you ( however a true random battle generator with terrian and all would be nice for both single player and mp , OHOH and a random campaign generator like Steel panthers... sorry got carried away)
*I think we just have to accept in all games played vs humans , people will have already played the scenarios or if not, peek before a MP game starts or peek during turns.
I dont think lifting the FOW on turn one is a practicle solution
The only think you can do , if you believe your opponent is being pesumtive about your forces/dispositions is to do the unexpected.
Free deployment or , more multiplayer maps or scenarios that are true meeting engagments (ie neutral objective hexes near the map center) might help mitigate knowing where the opfor is deployed since both side will be moving all the units forward for a few turns anyhow before engaging.
Cheers!
