Well done on the quick take of Paris. I'm guessing since Max didn't send a strong BEF to France that it is headed to the Middle-East instead.
You're not withdrawing the Italians from Libya as you did previously?

Well, my subs were patrolling near transportation loop and found nothing, but maybe some allies sneaked to northern africa. I am going to hold Lybia if it will be possible. Even maybe send some germans there. But no offencive plans for this theater. Everything can change...

Not much to report this turns - only cleaning out french atlantic coast.
As soon as my subs will arrive, Norway invasion will be started.
Plan is to use 2 landing forces - 2 corps from Denmark and 2 from Wilhelmshaven. (this needed, because one of the ways may be blocked with allied sub)
Rundstedt's HQ is already here.
And here is landing itself - one of my transports ran into SUB at unexpected place, but bombers damaged it hard.
Interesting effect by the way - when sub attacks transport with 0 quality (basic one), it always gets red, but when transport have -1 (or lower) quality because of manpower penalty, its still yellow. I am unsure, do it affect loaded unit's effectiveness though.
About other theaters - nothing happens, since Egypt didn't joined allies yet. Now I have starting italian army + fighter in Lybia, and ready to deploy more, if needed.
Italy now have 1 0 2 0 1 lab build, while germany have 2 2 2 1 2. I queue I have 1 german fighter, and 1 infantry corps was deployed recently in Kiel.

Germans land in Norway
Well, despite any casualties, we landed south of Oslo. Bombers did huge damage to garrison, city will fall soon enough. Minor mistake here - my 1st amph will be out of supply for 1 turn - well, maybe it will be motivation for them to capture Oslo faster and get supplies there
2nd corps (from reserves) landing not to fight this garrison, but to engage britts, if any comes into play.
I have built 2nd Italian industry lab and german mech corps. Will have enough PPs to build fighter next turn.
Egypt joins the allies, some german troops arrive to Italian ports (just one corps for now, "some" hehe) and ready to be shipped to Lybia if needed...or Greece.

Oslo holds at 1 step with no british intervention.
After surrender of the country both corps will garrison important naval bases from any further allied invasion.
Some troops gather around Taranto for winter Greece operation, but I have no details yet.
I didn't purchase fighter now because I am getting nice CAS upgrade next turn.

Norway surrenders!
One more country conquered. Wolfpack freed up and now going for convoy ways one more time.
In the MED 1st german infatrny shipped for Lybia, while Greece invasion being prepaired.
Armour and fighter purchased, since now I am going to build only infatrny and armour for barbarossa (should not forget about leaders aswell).
Hungary joins the axis at the end of my turn.
All is
very quiet at the allied side, no unit has been seen for a lond time, besides some ships in british ports.

Yes Max is amazingly quiet in this game so far. It's probably just as curious for us readers as it is for you.

Knowing Max he's planning something bold. Something that when executed he would hope would be so surprising and so much of a game changer that it would demoralize you. I don't think North Africa his target. I would be concerned about a strike at France or at Germany herself. To go after German he'd need to build a number of CVs in order to provide fighter cover for such an operation. It would be risky but if you had a sub you could spare for spying on the RN it would be interesting to see the composition and disposition of the RN across the ports in England.

If I had to guess, I'd agree with Rhialto and guess an early Overlord. But that is just a guess. I've played Max 8-10 times now, and I still can't predict his big strategic moves very well. He does something different every game.

Although Germany is most vulnerable the turn after Barbarossa, I'd be very surprised if a 1941 Overlord could actually stay ashore. The brits dont have enough units or tech to slug it out with even a few German units. As long as the most vulnerable channel ports are garrisoned with axis corps then they should provide crucial delay time.
I'd also keep an eye on an invasion of Italy/Sicily via the Western Med - Alec pulled this on me a while back and it is much more difficult for the Germans to stop after Barbarossa. Of course we could all be wrong and Max attacks something even more left field like Turkey instead!

Now we are ready to land in Greece next turn. I am unsure, if I can land from calm seas into hex with winter weather (this mountains), so if not, I will secure this mine first and then go for Athens.
Don't want to risk and send unsafe transports for Crete of Athens from the east - according to supply indicator its plenty of RN around.
This turn I purchased 2 brand new armour units. Now its time to focus on building corps and leaders, but maybe one more tank is availiable, we will see.
Featured Barbarossa date is 2nd june 1941.

Landing in Greece executed, almost as expected. Red corps unit was reduced to 1 step by 2 TACs and mech attack, but refused to leave its positions... So only Italian BB saved the day, knocking last step from stubborn unit, and allowing me to land 2nd mech. Athens is our next goal.
Build up for Yugoslavia campaign also in progress - I hope for 1 turn conquest here, as soon as fair weather arrives.
Italian general Messe will arrive this theater next turn, aslo 2 more german corps in queue... With 3 german korps chasing camels in lybian deserts i am a bit low on infantry, and will try to fix it as soon as possible. Also I need at least 5 star leader for africa and 7-8 one for Barbarossa northern sector (Rundstedt will go for south)

Well, well. Greece army group now have supply from Albania. (I were not able to move my infantry to 2nd hex adjacted to Athens because of ZoC - 2 mp was not enough, but its my fail, there was fresh spawned 3 step garrison, which could be killed to allow free advance, but instead I killed it with air).
Anyway, now we have good supply source and Athens gonna fall next turn.
Guderian will lead my german forces into Yugoslavia and Soviet Union later (recruited this turn).

Looks like here we have some fighting.
Lots of RAF and RN spotted going to help Greece. They even driven my strategic bomber from Rhodes, by reducing it to 4 steps.
On a good side, we will most likely take Athens next turn, and Bulgaria entered the axis, meaning that we will be able to rail to Greece, once conquered.
Also if this RN gets overagressive, they will get some hard damage from luftwaffe.
Guderian assigned to Yugoslavian border, now I will focus on building only infantry for eastern campaign.
Some more british cargo will never reach destination ports...

I don´t think he will go any further, probably only GAR on those transports anyway....
I think main target for max here was to take Heraklion to get air power in better position to help the RN and attack Tobruk when times comes, also bombard Ploesti thoughout the game...
What´s you plan for Russia?

Allies give me really hard turn.
1. They shipped "fresh" (well, it was orange) 10 step garrison into Athens.
2. They engaged me with RAF and RN extensively, reducing my mech to 3 steps and hitting my air.
3. They moved british corps transport into Salonika port threating to occupy a fortress.
4. Greek partisan spawned directly on my supply road to Albania.
But well, BB attack, 2 TAC attacks and mech attacks (well, this depleted corps was attacking cross-river and had small impact on battle) were enough to take Athens. As 2nd prize, we got british corps destroyed in port.
Next turn fighters will be railed here to drive Britts away from Crete.
By the way I moved german armour unit for Italian port of Taranto. Maybe it will sail for Lybia, where we will try to do some offencive.
I have new italian fighter in queue now.
