Wooly Bully is a reference to the classic Rock & Roll hit by Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs from 1964. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wooly_Bully

Wooly Bully seemed like an appropriate description of the battle.

I was listening to Bob Dylan in 1964, never heard "Wooly Bully" being played.
I did migrate big time into Blues though.

Peterthe Painter using Spanish-Imperial 1519 plays TyroneC using Teutonic 1494

A win for the Teutonic Knights.
Both armies defeated their opposing left flanks, however the Teutons were able to swarm around into the Spanish rear faster which won the day.
Thanks for a good game.

Well played by Tyronec. I found this a reverse of my round 1 game, as now I was outnumbered and a swarm of archers and crossbowmen, unaware that history had replaced them with arquebusiers, attacked my Spanish Colunelas from the rear.

Whilst the Iberian Peninsula pays homage to the Teutons, restaurants are replacing Paella with Sauerkraut and I fear for the future of tourism in the area.

GG Linkinbrick!

An absolutely chaotic battlefield but I think the upshot is that the Algerian tribal troops were held, and then defeated all along the line.

Some Algerian tribal spearmen made it into melee with their Draby opponents but they were hit from the flanks by the victorious Polish cavalry.

Rinn na creachadairean Albannach gàirdeachas air a’ chrìch leis na Sasannaich agus chuir iad air iteig iad

On a misty morning in a fairly open plain devoid of significant features apart from a low hill, marsh and wood on the English left, Scottish raiders swarmed the Sasannaich force sent to intercept them. Twas, a drawn out encounter where raw untried lads from both sides routed in all directions.
The English knights, experienced billmen, and mercenary keils dealt great damage to pursing and weary hapless reivers caught unawares, but nothing could stop the weaving, darting, whirling mass of raiders as they rounded up the cattle to herd over the border.
At times, the Scottish fared the worse but reiver inbreeding and their ability to ride light on their hardy nags or ponies won the day. The reivers renown for picking their way through and around the boggy moss lands and forest no small factor in their win.

So we await the epic encounter between the Austrians and the Georgians.

But we can start choosing armies for round 3

I keep my fingers crossed for the Austrians, since the leader of the Georgians refused to play/test my mods :) Sorry, Brian!
Where is the result of the game between Dilly and Gribol? Or they have already dropped out of the campaign?

Draw was agreed.

My friend, I believe in you. Next time your result will be better.

SnuggleBunnies and KiwiWarlord draw 0-0.

The Imperials did not feel they could advance into the open against the swarm of horse archers, and the Georgians did not feel safe pushing into close combat against an entrenched foe.

So round 2 is finished.

From now on I will simply refer to Kingdoms, so Gribol is the King of Scandanavia, AKvGoeben is King of North Africa.

Time for ranks of nobility in our fantasy world;
A King controls 1 or 2 Kingdoms.
A High King controls 3 or 4 Kingdoms,
An Emperor controls 5 or more Kingdoms.
Where possible battles will be fought between Rulers of the same rank, provided they haven't fought each other in a previous round.

We currently have 4 High Kings;
Gribol is Ruler of Scandanavia, Scotland and England.
TyroneC is Ruler of Germany, Italy, France and Portugal/Spain
Snugglebunnies is Ruler of Austria, Poland and North Africa
KiwiWarlord is Ruler of Georgia, Russia and Turkey

GDod is ruler of the independent Kingdom of Ireland.

All others are vassals of one of the High Kings.

My apologies to Dilly who is the Ruler of an independent Ireland.
