Simon,
Not sure if you answered this already, but if a list allows a choice of interpretations (as the thureophoroi above), is it permissible to have different interpretations of these troops in the different lists, provided each list is itself consistent?
i.e. Hellenistic greek
list 1 (700 pts) has Thureophori as all MF
list 2 (800 pts) has them all as Heavy foot
thanks

Yes that is ok.
Looking at this list ...
You need to choose what the c-in-c is to set the origin and of the army and keep this constant for all 3 - so you can be Boiotains or Athenians or Spartans or Ac haeins etc. SO you need to pick one of these and be, say, Spartan 250BC. This then applies to all 3 lists.
But then you are free to vary so youncould have All MF or All HF in your list. But each list must still abide to the notes so all Thorakitai and Theurophoroi are MF or HF for that list.
I am happy with that as them beng ordered to form up close in one battle and to lightly equip for another.

How about taking different interps of a troop type (e.g. almughavars) - so that list 1 has impact foot and list 2 off spear?
this sounds too cheesy ?

Hmm .......
Yep that's technically allowed at present although I think it is perhaps a bit cheesy as you say. Don't want to overcomplciate things with too many exclusion for REARGUARD 1.0. Once it has run I may well do so for next year, but prefer to keep limitations few for now or I end up having to see every list.
So feel free to go for Imp Ft variant on one list and Off Sp on another - maybe just a different breakfast and choosing to take the longer spears for a walk!

Hi Ian
I'm sure we'll need something,it 's not as though I'm settled and use the same army all the time I tend to be more random
