I would be up for trying an event like this.
I did a practice match each on both sides of the scenario. I won handily when playing as the Ottomans and lost gruesomely going up against them. But I still get all confused when there's no pike in my shot and some of my shooting goes swish swish instead of a proper kaboom, so out of general principles I would prefer to be on the enemies team for this one.

Is it just Ottomans versus their enemies or Ottomans plus their vassals like Transylvania?
BTW, I just posted some challenges for practice. If anyone feels like he wants to practice Mohács or skirmish battles I issued four challenges (2 mirror matches) for Mohács scenario and random map battles (Le Roi Soleil).

That's good that you join, welcome to the group and I will ask the Captains to take note of your preference.

So here are the players so far confirmed or expected. It is great to see so many new players, who are all very welcome.
Captains
Kiwiwarlord - Ottoman
Awesum4 (tbc) - Enemies
Players (in no particular order)
Snugglebunnies
Nosy_Rat
GentlemanRanker
Gribol
Snooky51
Veles
Pancalvus (wants to be in the 'Enemies' team)
Pixel
Flynn5555
Sedo
The GrayMouser
Dang
Gdod
ahuyton
Tomoegozen (perhaps can be persuaded to play if we have an 'odd' number...)
So 7 players per team. I will ask our Esteemed Captains to sort out who plays in which team.
Please everyone, be willing to commit to finishing at least the first game (or whichever game you are playing). Do not play too slowly or drop out half way through a game. I understand that sometimes real life intervenes and you have to drop out of the event and in that case I will do my best to find a fair solution.

See.. I'm all excited about this now!
If you have odd numbers count me in , the house will just have to fall down....
cheers,
Dave.

O wait, the captains pick teams.
In that case never mind the preference. I looked at the thread and it looked like some people were signing up for a specific side.

Just download it. In order to do so, you must start the game (obviously) then once the game starts click the historical campaigns in the bottom left corner. Then, click the "download community scenarios" button in the upper left corner (third counting from the left). A list of scenarios will appear. Now you just have to find the Mohacs scenario and click download.
That would be it.

My Pm to Veles seems to be stuck in my outbox for some reason (and the same problem might be happening the other way around as well), so I'll just post it here:
Can you tell me the password for the challenge you posted? Than I can accept it.

My games are mostly coming to an end now in the other tournament so if you need a reserve put me down.
Best wishes

Adam, I am sure we can find a place for you. Just give me a few days and we will see if there are nany non-starters. Failing that perhaps somebody will be willing to play a second game.

I'm down. I like the Mohacs scenario. I never get bored with it. That is if our new contestant will be assigned to the despicable enemies of our Sultan (blessed be his name).

It sounds like another Mohacs. Nice!
