The new Waffen SS only get a little buff and cost 10% (the buff is limited to intiative and ammo for most classes),which in the begining does not to seem like alot,but remember that the reinforcements are also 10% more also.

Wait until you hit hit '44 and '45 you will burn thru your PP's like water if you are field a total Waffen SS force.

Also this mod was designed so that if the player wanted to buy Waffen SS units, he or she could .

If the player wants one or two Waffen SS core units or twenty (or for that matter an entire core of Waffen SS)..the choice is theirs

The new bonus "Special Elite" units were to show that the Heer and Luftwaffe also had elite units (without getting into the weeds of history by naming them all).That is why I kept their prices the same as their vanilla counterparts

There is also this point,you are the only person to mention that the prices were to low.

If I get more requests about prices I'll think about it..but there have been over 2,000 downloads of both of the original mods and this mod (and yes I keep count fo my own personal ego boost :wink: )

Didnt wanna offend your work or put it into any discredit. I was just wondering (quite often lately). But on the other side, it gives proof that I really like your MOD. Just dont want to run over allied armies with an entire SS army since this is not quite accurate, historically speaking. But we will see how things work out later...

What does actually happen if units (being in the full-unit-file) are not mentioned in the equipment.ptloc? Is their name then according to the full name in equipment.pzeqp?

Rest assured, you did not offend me in any way. I'm sorry if I came off as being annoyed or to forcefull :oops:

I was just stating the "main reasonings" for the mod,and I'm both glad and flattered that you like the mod :D .

You don't have to purchase all Waffen SS units..you can limit yourself :wink: .

Remember also that you can always modify the prices as you see fit later on if you want to ,and if you need help w/ your own modifications to the mod I'll be glad to walk you thru it :mrgreen: .

As to your other question...quite frankly, I have no idea ,maybe somebody will have that answer :? .

As I was experimenting now (after I was told there is another equipment-file for localization), I found that this localization-equipment-file was making disorders in my unit lists. I deleted it, and now it works perfectly. So, for those who also dont play with the English version, this solution might help.

Thank God, this mess is over now!!! :D

Where exaclty was this file that you deleted?

It is the equipment.pzloc which is located in each of the language folders within the Localization folder and which needs to be deleted.

During my experimenting (tried to bring some order into the unit listing), I also found out that modifying the original ID-numbers in the equipment.pzeqp will bring confusion and changes into any scenario of Panzer Corps because the game does not find the units or it only finds different/wrong units. I checked this with the editor and found proof that some units were not part of the scenario any longer. You know what I mean? Therefore, it really makes sense to keep all IDs and units from the original Panzer Corps equipment.pzeqp as they are and list any additional unit (like SS or SE units) from IDs of 2000 onward.

By the way, I found out now how units are being sorted in the purchase menu: I did a little sorting in excel when I was experimenting and noticed that units had a different position than before when I started to play all over again. So, they are not sorted by IDs, but just by their position within excel (or notepad) or whatever. So, of course units need to have exactly the same ID as they have it in the original equipment.pzeqp, but then one can arrange them and move them around in an editor as one likes.

And by the way, another thing came across my mind: Since their is a link between the IDs and a certain unit in a scenario, the change from SE units to SS units doesnt make them bonus units anymore. Know what I mean? Some scenarios let the player start with SE units (like starting first scenario of GLC 45E without importing a previous army), but the amount of possible slots is being reduced if these SE units are substituted by SS units. So, my suggestion is for a possible new patch that all SE units from the original equipment.pzeqp keep their original IDs.

Or am I wrong in this?

I love this patch thus far. However, I am encountering a problem and I wanted to ask if it is a bug or if I missed something in the Readme or other posting.

I was awarded a bf-109E SE fighter as my first SE award unit. However, I am now at Leningrad in the DLC '41 and I still do not have an upgrade option available to me whereas the "regular" 109F has been available for quite some time. Is this an error? Or are the SE aircraft not upgradable? Or is it just delayed further than the regular Luftwaffe units?

He has a +3 Attack hero so I don't want to let him go if I don't have to.

The SE 109's and FW-190A are upgradeable...the problem is that I made SE fighters B4 the devs did.

The devs made them only available in Africa,so you shouldn't even been awarded one..but I'm glad you were (I personally love having SE aircraft)

This patch will fix it the issue,but it will only take affect whne you start your next scn.

Download this patch ----- http://www.mediafire.com/?lfbj5o0irx906g4 and replace your Elite Units Equip. file in the GME Elite Units folder as well as the Elite Units in your PZC main install.

Btw I just caught something myself..there was no png. for the Waffen SS and the SE Sig33,I must have forgot to add them in.

Put them in the Graphics-Units folder in both of your mod folders.

I have a question,however and would like some feedback from both users of mod the and any others who would like to comment.

I'm thinking about adding the reconmovement trait to both the Kav and m/c troops. Both the m/c's and Kav were used exstensively by all branches of the Wehrmacht until (roughly) '41-'42 as both recon and "fast" infantry.

Anybody who knows me knows that whole I'm not a card carrying member of the historical accuracy police :shock: I try to keep things kinda both historical and gameplay balanced.

I was thinking that by adding the reconmove trait both the Kav and Krads would have more appeal to the player of the mod (I know that I myself would use the hell out of them until the became obsolete) and show their true role in the Werhmacht.

Please post your thoughts and as always all views are welcome..just please remain civil and polite

If you are updating this again, I noticed that there is no movement sound for the SS version of the Panzer 38t(a).
