One tough battle. The Italians took a low hill in the center and then were on the clock to defeat the Berber infantry before the swarms of light and medium cavalry got around both flanks. A couple of RNGs going the other way would have swung the battle.

That is my last game in the division, thanks to all the guys for setting it up and to Harvey for running this one.

The two armies were very similar and the terrain gentle so I think I largely won by ganging units up more effectively and good old fashioned luck. The Normans saw the wisdom of ceasing their rebellion against their rightful overlords and called for a truce before too much blood was spilled.

The score will be 40 - 11 (89-11)

Based on 8b) One player is forfeiting and their break percentage is under 40 then their break point level will be advanced to 40% and as long as the difference is 25 or greater than points will be calculated.
e.g. The forfeiting player is at 21% while their opponent is at 10% then the forfeiting player will increase to 40% giving a 90pt victory to their opponent while earning 10pts themselves. (Rules viewtopic.php?f=683&t=107984)

My opponent had the numerical advantage which had me pretty worried. The rough ground on my right side helped my Defensive Spearmen hold off the Huscarls on the right. My cavalry managed to circle around on the left, hitting him in the flanks. Veteran Spearmen are amazing, holding off my opponents heavy weapon units until the cavalry could strike. Redeemed myself a little bit after wzfcns annihilated me in the Later Medieval division with his elephants.

The bohemian Army stood in the open, ranks dense with heavily armored knights, dismounted and otherwise; though with favorable terrain the Aragonese host held well entrenched positions at and around a small valley with large rocky outcrops, perfect for aragonese crossbows and irregular troops. At the end, the aragonese stepped victorious, though the Bohemians put up a hell of a fight.

Deeter ((Macedon) draws with tmac11 (Rome) 51-31 after 24 turns.

Both armies had good positions on hills and were reluctant to leave them. After some extended skirmishing however, the Macedonians closed in and would have clinched the victory had there been one more turn.

Triarii French 888-1049 with Viking 790-899 allies defeats Chherif Breton 936-1049 40-7

The French and Vikings were fortunate to deploy with all their cavalry on the left behind a screen of skirmishers facing a smaller number of Breton cavalry without skirmishers.
French and Viking infantry shifted left to take advantage of a hill line while their cavalry followed up destructive skirmisher missile fire with an attack in superior numbers.
The Breton infantry were forced into trying to head uphill to intervene without the time or space to let their missile troops have any effect. The Breton right collapsed before Breton quality infantry could make any headway and all was over.
