will have a look at scenario conditions i thought they where correct :S
the player with 119 or more flags wins at 99 turns which includes all flags

to win decisive its the a hex of the cities stated as i tried a gold star but it didnt show up so you just have to refer to the log to see which cities.

ok???
In the Script Parameters in terms of decisive victories exposed Number of Axis flags in Zone 29 is More than 5. However, in the name of the winning states that it is decisive victory of the Allies. Also, instead of Cairo in Zone 29 is marked Perm.

You've done a good job on this one Sparatacus. The map's come a long way from the early bugged version. It's fun to play 1941 in MP (playing both sides, Easter release). The only really annoying bug encountered so far is that the turn replay cuts out at a random turn and doesn't come back on later on. Happened at turn 5 playing Axis and maybe turn 12 playing as Allies. then there's the impossibility to buy or upgrade certain factions (e.g. Vichy France or Greece). I imagine the game engine is limited to 5 nations per side per scenario?

The reinforcements are very welcome for the Allies and well-timed. You've managed to approximate the shifting historical front lines in doing so. Allied players need not worry: you start out in a weak position, but you get rather sizable reinforcements (Torch was a surprise!). We're at about turn 20 in both games and it's still hard to say who's really on top.

Some Soviet units funny name. For example, Red Bear, Potemkin, Khrushchev (who was never a General). Are we in the West associate with the bears? :)

Thanks Shrike, not 100% sure what you mean by replay? I usually turn show opponents moves etc; off. Yes to game engine question only 5 nations per side, and I have thought the same but I wanted to keep this one all vanilla and if and when I have the inclination to learn modding to do a version with more features.

Sounds like you having a good game and yes the Allied reinforcements are timed roughly to historical facts!

Yes some humour in the names at times, Potemkin was a movie about the battleship with the same name so I thought I would throw that in there. This is for other nations as well.

The Bear is often used as a symbol of Russia in the western world

Ah, poor Tito never knew he couldn't get reinforcements because the game limitation prohibits Yugoslav reinforcements ;-) Still, the way you've set up the timed events really gives the players a gaming experience that approximates the historical front lines evolution, which is neat.

Yeah, the combat replay was set to "show enemy movement" but after a random number of turns that setting seems to be ignored and no movement is shown anymore. I've also noticed that the humidity on the map is perhaps a bit extreme. Snow until May, followed by endless rain and mud until the end of June?

hahah Tito would dearly love more reinforcements I'm sure. Cool thanks the intention is to recreate ww2 in european theatre so i guess that helps with the feel of it

hmmm must be older weather scripts I have changed now so theres no snow at all!

Do you have 'nocache' in your exe file for the crash to desktop issue? But not really sure otherwise

I use the /nocache startup parameter. I've asked both my opponents whether they do so as well from the first few turns, but they may not have understood what I meant. One of them at least told me the game crashed on him, so he may have been running it without that parameter. it's a long shot, but it's possible this is causing the loss of replay.

What's the trigger for the Soviet relief force and Stalin to appear? I can see my opponent got it in my Axis game, but I didn't receive these in my Allies game yet (about the same number of turns).

Before more recent update it was based on losing a number of major flags, so if Russia loses over 25 flags the relief force spawns as well as Stalin, if I recall correctly some planes spawn in slightly earlier and Stalin maybe slightly later.

In the new update this has been changed although there is still Stalin and a relief force who conditions are the same as before, the relief force is much smaller. Instead there are armies that spawn in turn 5,10,12 and 25 for Russia then one off tanks, partisans etc; throughout the game periodically.

(53.72 KiB) Downloaded 68 times
1941SP.rar

(49.61 KiB) Downloaded 100 times
New victory conditions = MP scenario (not for me even if I want to play SP ?)
1941 Easter Edition = latest SP version ? (apparently yes because dates from April)
1941 SP = old SP version to be removed ? (dates from March)

I downloaded 1941 Easter and still saw the famous Russian VH at sea near UK, a VH the Germans cannot conquer, shouldn't this be corrected ?

Hey Rob!

New victory conditions = MP scenario (not for me even if I want to play SP ?)

This is the latest version so try this one, have a few adjustments to make already (everytime lol); it is probably a bit Allied biased anyway.

1941 Easter Edition = latest SP version ? (apparently yes because dates from April)

Yes I will remove this one!

1941 SP = old SP version to be removed ? (dates from March)

This is alot older and I will replace this one with the new victory conditions when I have beefed up the Allies so if you could test let me know Allied strengths etc that would be awesome? :D

Hi,

OK both SP scenarios will be removed.

Even in the MP scenario I still see the Soviet VH at sea impossible to conquer by Axis forces!
Shouldn't this be removed once and for all ?

Apart from this I saw position of units in the scenario, It has changed from the old scenario, it seemed you worked a lot, congrats!

When do you create a scenario in June 1945 where Ivan attacks the Tommies and the Yankies ?

Ugh ... in turn 51 of playing as Allies my prestige took a nosedive from over 2000 to about 1200. At the end of the turn I got the scenario message "Prestige boost!". Practical joke or something going wrong? The Axis player didn't conquer anything that could have caused this as far as I can tell. I'm still (barely) holding out in Russia while already close to Paris on the western front. Africa is mine too.

hi

thanks Spartacus, excellent made!

I love 1941
it's exiting to play this scn. and quite well balanced. very good timing with the appearing units.

only bug I noticed so far, like Shrike already said, the funktion "show opponent moves" turns off at a random time.
:(
No idea why... what should I do now when I will play?
I like to play with this funktion on, cause I think this funktion is very important for the gameplay.

someone has an idea?

(other bug I heard from another player, prestige losses without any reason happening on allied side...)

cheers

Hi Spartacus,
Even in the MP scenario I still see the Soviet VH at sea impossible to conquer by Axis forces!
Shouldn't this be removed once and for all ?
Could you please answer this question ?
Why keeping an unseizable VH at sea ?

Thx
