Thanks my friend. I updated the download link with this one in the first post of this thread as well.
No problem... I have all the Pz Corps related stuff (including, of course, all of your mods) stored in my daily use laptop computer and also in two different external SSD drives, so I think everything is safe here...
And, I don't want to hijack this thread and I told this many times, but I think that the original Panzer Corps is an immortal classic just like Panzer General. I am sure someone will be still playing Panzer General, but not many people would even remember Panzer General 2 or Panzer General 3D Assault, to give an example...
And also I already told this many times: I would very happily pay the same money value of a completely new, modern game for a new version of Panzer Corps which would include a few additions (that I think would be relatively simple to implement from the coding point of view) that would make Panzer Corps a much better game...

I wonder would anybody undertake doing this for Panzer Corps 2
I could give my opinion about PzC2 and modding for PzC2 in a video but it would be full of cursing in Dutch and Polish. So it is wiser to refrain from that.
As long as i cannot create a scenario in the PzC2 editor as easy as in the PzC1 editor with the wonderful set of triggers and scripts, there is no hair on my head that is even going to try.
I don't want to use lua, plain and simple. Plus i can fry an egg and bacon on my laptop after 15 minutes of PzC2. I keep buying the expansions just to support the devs.
PzC2 has some nice improvements, some of which could have been easily implemented in PzC1.
The briefings are nicely done but time consuming to create. The second time i play the same scenario i just do click click click click or simple end the briefing.
The one thing that i like is the extensive equipment file. The kind that PzC1 deserves.
Panzer Corps 1 may be 11 years or so "old" but it still has incredible potential. The feeling i had playing Panzer General and Panzer Corps 1, i have never felt that same excitement in Panzer Corps 2, despite the fact that some scenarios are quite well done.
You can have a good food recipe but it is not always possible to make it even better, or just leave it as it is. And usually, less is more.
100 per, Nico.
There is nothing to add to that. PC 1 forever

Probably a fair amount of old geezers from the ClubSSI days around this place. It would get kind of wild at times.

Has anyone from Slitherine officially replied to this list of ideas that had been compiled several months ago?

none that I have seen. The 10th year anniversary came and went and nothing.

It's an immense pity, really. The 10th anniversary was a nice opportunity to launch a "renewed" version...

We can also cut to the chase and ask how much it would cost more or less to have (most of) the wishlist incorporated into Panzer Corps 1. We could organise a fund raiser when there are enough people interested. But first someone would have to compile an improvement wishlist. My only item for this wishlist is to have the same units available as in PzC2.
Frankly, i see no other way to possibly ever see another update of Panzer Corps 1.

I think that we can relieve the game developers from adding units, after all, this is much the fun for guys like me which can add all the new units we want. What I would like to see, is the addition of new stats to the equipment file, for example new target types, for example high-air and low-air to make heavy AA guns able to fire on high flying targets (heavy bombers) and not on fighter bombers making low level attacks, also, forts can be classed as different targets types from "hard" ones, in order to give big guns good attack values against fixed fortifications and less effectiveness against small (relatively), mobile and armored targets like tanks... Just some ideas, hehe...
The fund raiser idea is an excellent one!!
PS: Can someone tell what are the more important units present in Pz Corps 2 and not present in Pz Corps 1?

I would love to see a final quality-of-life update for PzC1, if we need a fund raiser, let it be. But I fear the devs have closed the PzC1 book for good.

Pretty new to this game in general as compared to lots of you, but will say few things have figured out from the marketers.. One of my friends (dear friend) was a developer from Atomic, some might have ventured into the classic close combat series which 1st came out laate 90's. It was taken over by "this" developer/marketer. My friend is 1 who was eventually forced out of the later projects.
There is more, but remain silent. Buisness is cut throat and respect that in many ways. I do not condone doing same while a person is away and fighting for their lives, as was done to my friend back then.
No more details, so do not ask.

Well, the entire code of other games (e.g. DOOM) was made public... this could be a possible approach eventually as well... IMHO...

The same happened with X-com, and a group of very skilled programmers developed it into Open X-Com, which, in turn, allowed some also very skilled modders to deveop wonderful mods for the game, improving it a 1000% (not that the original X-Com was a bad game, on the contrary, it was excellent).
Bad news are, that the source code of that game was released to the public much more time later than ten years from its making...

Panzer General 1 Music For Panzer Corps
https://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewto ... 36#p992636
if author wants, can add this to the Panzer General original campaign mod
( this was assembled for that purpose,
PG Original C did not seem quite right without PG1 music!)

No, I don't have it saved, unfortunately.
By the way, kudos for your mods archive! Appreciate it.
