I am happy to challenge Tom, Jerry or Dave Parrish.

It might be unfair for me to actually challenge Tom and Jerry as I have played practice games against them so know their army. How about it Dave.

The Anglo-Irish

wish to challenge anybody who doesn't have anybody on a horse, those new fangled gun things or very long pointed sticks, other than that we'll face anybody, or just stay in Ireland

which essentially leaves me the English and the Scots so Don or Dave if you don't fight each other I'll give it a go

cheers

Ha! Do I detect a bidding war for the soft underbelly of these British Isles.

Anyone else interested in trying for a piece of the renaissance prince? 8)

Thanks Dave,

It is all going to depend on how we have made up our lists and my poor dice rolls!!!!

Then one of us can play Nigel the other Alasdair in the second round.

Do you see that as winner plays Alasdair or loser plays Alasdair? ( .... might affect how I play, you see)

The Anglo-Irish went on the table yesterday for the first time

galloglaigh fairly poor

The heros were 2 units of 6 bases of warrior kern with that feared light spear that went straight across the table in front of 6 heavy guns and captured them, well some at least

looking forward to it, though far more units than I am used to playing with

So did Jerry win or did you?

He has only played with that army (Caroline Imperialist) a couple of times.

I'd like to try the historical match of French (Gerndarmes, Pike_ vs Spanish (Pike, LH, Arquebus)

So any Frenchmen out there - here is my challenge (I know Tim is already taken ...)

P.S. Quite a few of you are coming to Farnborough on the 6th, so you can always hand me your lists on the 22nd :-)

HI Gentlemen

could some of us bring some cloths as well

The club thinks they have enough terrain for all 11 tables but if anyone has lots of space in the car and a box of terrain to hand if they can put it in just in case we are short

Cheers

Well it looks like our 'enery is going to have to invade Scotland yet again to put down those bloody rebellious Scots (again) with their puny pointy sticks, before he can cross the channel (or the Irish Sea!) to sort out the garlic eating foreigners!

What's there to fear? Gendarmes? - pah! slow tin cans of bill food; Swiss (in French service)? - bunch of chocolate soldiers; keils? - they will be kielled by the good ole English longbow; artillery? - firing cotton wall balls? I think it's 'enery's day!!!

Such bravado from such a crap army! Henrician English - so good no one else chose it!

You can tell who wants to win this one - the choosers of French, Caroline and Maxilmillian! And then there's Aladair boasting he has no horse but hopes we won't have noticed that he's only chosen the Anglo Irish cos he can now have 48 armoured Superior Galloglaich over the Irish list's mere 40!

Let the boasting start - see you Sunday!

Don
