All the orders of the 3rd turn have been issued.

You chose to make:
1. Taxation
2. Major attack from Gelderland to Holstein

so now it's time to launch the challenge to Ironclad that will replace awesum4 for this turn.

AD 1740 - MECKLEMBURG - Open Battle
Austrian strategic victory

Austrian - Danish 18% - 54%

After a fierce clash on open terrain the outnumbered Danish forces gave way to their Austrian opponents that pounded heavily the enemy witht their heavy guns and finally struck in the center while the cavalry enveloped both flanks, so that Mecklemburg is now in Austrian hands.

To sum it up, honour didn't lack on the Danish side but just men and guns ...

The Danish and Anglo-Hanoverian armies were in winter quarters, during which General Ironclad was laid low by illness after a grueling campaign. The insubordinate junior officer Dilly arbitrarily took command of the Danish army and launched a surprise attack on the Anglo-Hanoverian camp in Frederick's beautiful staircase formation. Unfortunately, he encountered an army entrenched in the forest and on a large central hill, and had to retreat with heavy losses (43:4). What awaits him for such a defeat? Undoubtedly, a court martial!

This is a really unexpected turn of events!

But to legitimize the result I think we should firstly verify if awesum4, who appointed Ironclad as his substitute, recognize it.

So let's wait his pronouncement!

I am happy for the local commander Dilly to have assumed command, he will of course be given a fair trial and then executed. This absolves all those higher up the chain of command from any blame whatsoever in these unfortunate events

Defensive (for Gribol) battle in Hannover

Gribol commanding British-Hanowerian alied forces (defenders), win over the Danish commanded by younger officer Dilly (attackers) with the casualities 22:58
In Denmark assault on Hannover (major attack).

Junior Officer Dilly was seen after the battle escaping on horseback in an unknown direction, avoiding a court martial...

Unfortunately, after the third turn, also Denmark had to sue for peace and now is out of the war.

Thanks to Awesum4, who couldn't properly defend his homeland being absent from the battlefield due to unexpected court events and saw the command of his army being abruptly taken from a junior commander of dubious morality whose actions caused great harm to the Danish crown!

The order for the 4th turn is now the following:

AUSTRIA, ANGLO-HANOVERIAN, BAVARIA

Apologies for my tardiness, tis the party season in the Blue Palace, gayly clad sugar plum faeries stalk the halls seeking sport and drinking all my brandy, the expense is horrendous! Please, bear with me while I put on my thinking cap ... and pull up my lederhosen.

Bavarian turn 4

- Taxation
- Standard attack (encounter battle) Baden to Lorraine.

I'm a bit rusty, I believe this would be:

Bavarian 1727-1763 versus Anglo-Dutch 1740-1763
Open Battle - Large - Custom 20 x 40 - Wooded

I've set such a battle for the Ogre, if it is correct please accept, password: trollop.
