angusosborne (Egyptian) defeat gort7078 (Greek) 49-21

We had a very open battlefield. I attempted a half-arsed refusal of my left flank as I was outnumbered, but the Greeks made a devastating charge at the first opportunity, but I did manage to make some gains after that as they pursued far and wide. Meanwhile my infantry had the edge in quality and punched through quite quickly. Good game!

Clash of Civilisations - Tournament II: Concluded

This means that we have a winner, since the tournament will end once one player first claims victory through having won battles with all four major factions.

kronenblatt has achieved that victory condition and thus claims victory in Clash of Civilisations II!

Many thanks everyone who participated: hope you all enjoyed the tournament and its rules and games as much as I did.

Congratulations Andreas, and thanks a million for running it. Lots of good games.

It's only fair that the guy who did all the work wins it, although if it hadn't been for that pesky fragmented light chariot that held out for an eternity before rallying and breaking both of ... never mind. Well done.

Still lots of nightmares about that game? :D That chariot and its crew (team kronenblatt) knew what it would take to secure future victory and walked the extra mile to secure it: holding firm, holding firm, rallying, rallying, holding firm. :)
