(modding) Pursuing

My question is :
How could I make charging units that don't intend to pursue during the following turn move one square forward and, if needed, turn towards the routed unit during the turn in the course of which routing happened, as if carried by momentum/enthusiasm à la P&S ?

(including when there are several units charging one single routed unit)

Is it a matter of AP, of ZoC2 ?
I compared AITools from FoG2 with AITools from P&S.
I did not manage to find out. Will try again...

Any help would be appreciated.

Happy pursuit to you !!!

Here is a global mod that intensifies pursuing, making charging units more out of control, carried away by enthusiasm and momentum. The game is a bit more unpredictable. More units pursuing means more units meeting fresh enemy in an adjacent map square that is within 45 degrees of straight ahead and thus able to charge them, ie more domino charges. Moreover, pursuing units might find themselves isolated and/or flank/rear attacked but also able to flank/rear attack more easily.

Ppl playing P&S won't be disoriented. Ppl liking that battles remain as a solid line won't like this mod.

Modifications :
1) In Vanilla FoG2 (from the manual) :
The close combat opponents of routed units will sometimes pursue:
- Mounted troops and elephants normally pursue at least once.
- Foot warbands normally pursue foot at least once if they originally initiated the close combat, and have a 25% chance of doing so if they didn’t. They have a 10% chance of pursuing mounted or light troops.
- Raw or untrained foot also have a chance of pursuing, but this is never more than 25%. They have a 10% chance of pursuing mounted or light troops.
- Other foot never pursue after close combat. However, foot units that charge fragmented enemy who break before contact will pursue the routed enemy on that turn only.

2) In this mod :
- Any unit (even foot) might pursue.
- Foot normally don't pursue mounted (normally...)
- Warrior Impact foot tend to pursue longer as they are more uncontrollable.
- When enemy unit is routed, the close combat opponent(s) always move at least one square forward.

Installation as a Global Mod :
- Download : http://www.mediafire.com/file/z8oxbtire ... L.rar/file
- Unzip it in MyGames\FieldofGlory2\MODS\
- In game, in the Start Display, clic on 'Choose global mod set to use' on the bottom left of the screen and choose 'Pursuing Mod Global'
- Enjoy

PS : version 2 (if ever made) might make flank/rear charges on unengaged units more dangerous than in Vanilla.
