Overstrength and Manstein

Muddling through the GC on Manstein and just started the 41 campaign with about 15K prestige and I'm wondering if there is a sweet spot for OS when playing on Manstein that is less than the maximum allowable for the campaign year. At colonel, general and FM, one can get buy with 12-13 strength units if you're trying to conserve prestige for 45. I don't think I can use that for Manstein as I'm constantly dancing with 15+ strength enemy units and they hurt! So any tips would be great as I seem to have provoked the fickle side of the hero generator as I'm getting loads of spotting and initiative heros which when they appear on your arty, armor and infantry, really don't help as much as range, attack and movement would. ;-)

Use lots and lots of artillery, and follow Soren's, my channels, Braccada, and Richard Martin who are playing at this level.

Soren just finished 39 with very few nicks of damage which was stunning to behold.

The rest of us are playing on Ultimate difficulty so all the difficulties at once. It is not as smooth but should give you some ideas on the sweet spot. Just posted the start to Demyansk Pocket yesterday so all the rest of the year is up already

Agreeing on the previous comments, I would add that Manstein is a great opportunity for surrenders, you can eliminate them by being patient, wait for them to come to you, in the mean time set traps as much as possible, that would make your life easy.
