As per the topic, I'm thinking of swapping out the Wehrmacht in favour of the Red Army next time I play through the campaign. I'd assume it's perfectly possible, but is there an easy way to do this that does not force you to, say, manually edit every campaign scenario?

Pretty sure you have to manually edit every scenario and also change the campaign file from DE to whatever new faction.

Would it be easier to go into the equipment file and switch all the unit ownership?

As in all German units could be made to belong to Soviets and all Soviet units could become German owned. Then when you started a campaign you'd have access to Soviet units?

That seems to be in line with what I was looking for. I don't need to play as the Soviets per se -- Germany is fine as long as the unit list is swapped. By switching the ownership (and possibly edit the dates) it should be possible to create a "German" Soviet army, non? Then go with cutomised army and North Africa > Italy > Normandie to avoid having to face the SU. I'm seeing some potential for variety here as the Soviet list has other strengths and weaknesses.
