Hi,
Playing now as Carthage in DLC 550BC campaign. It starts as 1st level civ Monarchy. When I move to 2nd level civ it changes automatically to Republic. The problem is that it doesn't change capital building. I still have King's Palace in Carthage region, which after few turns becomes Abandoned Palace. (and after few next turns is destroyed for + infrastructure). How to build Senate? Should it be automatically changed after changing from Monarchy to Republic? This is very problematic because the turn after moving up to 2nd level civilization (becoming Republic) game doesn't recognise that i have a capital, and this is requisite for many many national decisions. ))

Problem solved, i will copy answer from Pocus from another forum, in case someone else will need help (it works if playing on single player):

Access the local files of the game with Steam (right click on the game name, properties, local files.

Go to the directory:
\Scenarios\e550BCGrandCampaign\DATA

Open (with Excel)
FACTIONS.csv

Go to the cell BZ 31, you should see

$ID_STRUC_CAR_TRADE_SETTLEMENT|$ID_STRUC_CAR_COTHON|$ID_STRUC_GREAT_COTHON|$ID_STRUC_CAR_TEMPLE_TANIT|$ID_STRUC_CAR_TEMPLE_BAAL|$ID_STRUC_CAR_TEMPLE_MOLOCH

We will add the Senate here, so the new line will look like
$ID_STRUC_CAR_TRADE_SETTLEMENT|$ID_STRUC_CAR_COTHON|$ID_STRUC_GREAT_COTHON|$ID_STRUC_SENATE|$ID_STRUC_CAR_TEMPLE_TANIT|$ID_STRUC_CAR_TEMPLE_BAAL|$ID_STRUC_CAR_TEMPLE_MOLOCH

Save the file, run the game, do a new turn and the Senate should hopefully be given for free

Very sorry guy for this important bug and have you edit a file yourself, like in good old time. Everybody is a modder I guess
