SnuggleBunny's FoGII, Pike n Shot, Sengoku MP Channel

Update 6/12/20: there are now some 18 videos uploaded, including several League matches.
Greetings all, inspired by my continued desire for a replay system, and by Richard Yorkes' fine example, I have decided to start recording my games and posting them to YouTube. The real action will begin with Season 8 of the Digital League (36 matches for me!), but I will be posting some friendly skirmish videos to try to iron out kinks in my processes and especially the audio before that. To start, I have posted a mirror match that Schweetness and I played to test out his Aggregate Mod prototype.
Sometimes I offer (intelligent?) commentary, sometimes I more or less click through my moves. I'm hoping to keep this up long term, but it is of course a lot of work so who can say.
Hopefully this is not too spammy to post here - the channel really is just going to be for my own personal enjoyment and for my opponents, so they can relive their glorious victories over me and not watch their defeats. Anyway, I am open to any sort of feedback so I can get things sorted out before the League begins:

Oh nice, Byzantines. Keep it up! I really wish we'll get proper replays at some point.
Also, Jesus, that's a lot of raw skutatoi.

WTF? I always pictured Snugglebunnies with a thick British accent, top-hat, monocles and all.

They're worth it against these eastern types; of course I wouldn't dare field many of them against a shieldwall army.

I am mystified and pleased that I came off that way, but I'm afraid the regionally unplaceable boring American accent is the reality.

ugg, I dont mind never winning vs. a brit, I mean that accent raises their IQ about 20 points, but a fellow yank, the shame.
I should do a video series just of my games vs top "A" players....it would be a combination of Larry David and Mel Brooks and they would all start with "oh shit what crap am I in now........"
Thanks Snuggles for sharing.

Ha thanks guys. It'll probably be a bit until I have more to upload, as games take 1-3 weeks and I just started recording. Once I do start wrapping up more matches though, I should be able to upload them within a day.

Well if it makes you feel better as you can see from the videos every game is a nightmare for me because I always think I'm going to lose.

A quote my dad gave me says that everyone feels like they're losing in a battle. I guess FoG II is just that immersive!

One of the reasons I enjoy live streaming my game play is the immediacy (and the fact that I'm too lazy to do editing and other post production).

I mean, it's pretty minimal effort once you figure out the software. In terms of editing, there really is none, just combining the clips in order (which is easy because they're recorded in order), then exporting them as one file, then uploading it to YouTube. I think this sort of thing would be more work if I cared about somehow turning it into a revenue stream, in which case I'd have to manage social media accounts, patreon, ads, etc. not to mention playing games that weren't niche wargames. Since this is all just for fun, it cuts out a lot of the work.

Nvidia Shadowplay to record. Shotcut to compile turns and export as one mp4 file. That's it. Easy.
