The Flank Change

I do want to point out that the change to non-light troops turning to face lights will reduce the silliness, but possibly not by much.
The maneuver that is still possible is to lock in a unit of light horse, and, if you already have a non-light unit in flanking position, then achieve the automatic cohesion drop. It can also be done to say, force a unit of Light Javelin Horse to stay engaged with a unit of Veteran Legionaries so that the infantry unit can't move, even if the poor horsemen are getting butchered.
I agree that these maneuvers are not quite as irritating as the "lol now you have turned around and are doomed" maneuver, but I wanted to make sure to point them out in case they should also merit any consideration. If not, I understand - in the case of the non-light auto drop, perhaps anything that makes it easier for players to not care about being flanked is not a good idea. In the case of getting locked in and pinning a stronger unit, it does admittedly often result in the destruction or at least Fragmentation of the pinned light unit.
Nevertheless from a realism standpoint both maneuvers seem a little questionable to me.
