Has there been the trojan error in the downloadable gold version? I got that in the demo...and McAfee removed/deleted the exe...anyone know if this will happen if i run the full game now with my virus prog. on?

And if it does delete the exe, can i just reinstall the game from the downloaded file?

The trojan is a false alarm.

Ya, I understand this. But...twice when i ran the demo...McAfee deleted the exe file. I've had it turned off since i installed the full game...so...was wondering if it will still happen and if it does, can i just reinstall wout probs? Some games once installed, don't let you reinstall easily, copy protection ajnd such.

The gold version has a completely different copy protection system and will not cuase this false alarm.

Regardless of the fact it is a false alarm, it still generally prevents the game from installing. I found this out the hard way. The only recourse at the time was to not run the anti virus, an action some consider unacceptable. Also , switching to a different AV is not usually something a person will care for. I basically use whatever AV my computer tech buddy tells me to use. The best of the AVs for me eh :)

But the issue is old news to me, and no longer relevant to myself as well. Just thought I would comment.

We've removed the old demo of eaw so people wont download it anymore so this issue shodl disappear. We have not had time to create a new demo of MH CEAW yet, which I guess we should do. The new installer & copy protection thats very friendly and safe is not so good when it comes to demos unfortunately so I'm not sure how we fix it at this stage!
