I've read other posts about this subject on Steam with the same problem and the solutions didn't work for me. When I start Polaris sector (so far played 370 hours) - the screen with options play game, change settings etc appears. When i choose play game, the same screen comes back. The game itself won't start anymore. Last time I played was around May 1, the next day I couldn't play anymore - out of the blue. Steam updated something, no idea what, but this game will not start up anymore. I use W7, i7 - 10gb mem. I re-installed the game several times and changed the remember.cfg file according to several tips. Help please, it's one of my favorite games

Have you tried to start the game without going through the launcher (directly from the exe)?
