Slitherine

So, thought I'd try my hand on a GC playing at/as Manstein. Wallowed through the 39 scenarios till Warsaw North and once I get within 2 hexes of the lower 2 victory objectives, the spam starts. Entrenched infantry and Calvary leave their position and the spammed ones create a new ring around the objectives. Even with all the captured artillery they are tough to wade through when they appear at 15 and instantly have a high entrenchment. I've got 2 wehr, 1 Krad, 1 Para and 3 Mtn infantry units, 5 tanks, 3 towed and 1 SP arty units, 2 fighters, 1 tac and 2 strategic.

I'd like to get a DV so I can get Lent but so far all I can do is an MV and a bloody nose.

So any pointer from those of you who thrive on the Manstein level would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the link as it was very helpful. Managed a DV on turn 20 which was great. So it's off to The Spoils of War, which may not be great on Manstein...

1 Krad for now but if any of my infantry gain a spotting hero, there will be more. A good unit, but at the moment rebuilding the core between scenarios means there's no room for core expansion.

Im curious how you get Kradschutzen in 1939 when is ofic. available in 1941.

He must be playing a modded version of the game

I'm using Nvkidd's equipment file and his updated GC files. for the 39 campaign there are 2 Krad units to pick from, a 36 and a 39. I feel that he's done an excellent job as it increases the enjoyment of the game for me. Lot's of mods available for folks to try but so far, I really enjoy his.

Here's a link to the modified GC and a couple of others, along with the equipment file. I believe he tweaked Sealion and Afrika Korps as well, with AK getting two starting points. One for the Italians in the 30's and one for when Germans got involved.
