Onscreen console and info boxes suddenly tiny

hi everyone,
the other day i started the game and the info console at the bottom of the screen, and the info windows that come up were all much smaller than usual, and virtually illegible. makes the game unplayable.
ive searched around for mention of this problem, but have not seen anything
anyone have any ideas?

Does it look like these screenshots? Somebody else reported this in the
8.4.1 update thread in the general forum. A developer posted later in that thread, so he must have seen it.

If these are not indicative of your problem, then perhaps you could post some screenshots of your own.

here is a screenshot, should have figured out how to do from the start - areas circled in red - also same for force panel, start of turn panels, etc. This panel and the rest used to be much larger, and legible!

wow, had hoped someone would have some sort of suggestion
turned one of my favorites into a huge waste of money - have every DLC, and all useless now.
very frustrating

no log or report file, so could be anything tbh

I assume you already tried unchecking this new option?
It was added for 4k users.
