Is it possible to play a PBEM campaign?

I played one in PG and have reconnected with that old friend to play another one with this game...Is it possible and how do I do it?

Related question, if you want to play a specific person PBEM, what steps do I follow to set that up?

No.
At least not yet.

There is no PBEM campaign, and modders have not figured out how to do campaigns.
In six months things may have changed.
