Maybe in future patches?

It will be a while.
There are memory and performance issues with the game.
It will be at least 6 months IMHO before they have the software optimized well enough.
This is the Devs first foray with UnRealEngine, and they are still learning the tricks.

What exactly does bigger mean?
Some of the solo scenarios are extremely large. Playing Defenders of the Reich in a single sitting can easily take an entire day.

Maps bigger than 40x40. Rememmber that OOB Pacific supports maps up to 120x120 and the sky is the limit for older PzC.

I would say: patience.
Give time to the devs to optimize the game engine. Grand scenarios will come in the future for sure.

Not sure if it can be grander than Kursk at this point without making it too insane.

Bigger means „Giant Europe“ mod big

That would probably fry my PC at this point.
Kursk and was already taxing the memory with rain effects and the number of units (playing on max settings however), but as mentioned earlier here, we just need to wait for the game to get optimized better for these step by step as it's a new engine.

I'd rather have more high-quality scenarios linked in campaigns. Playing a single large scenario can be fun at times, but too many in a row and it becomes a chore. Some of the stand-alone scenarios already take the better part of a day to play, and I doubt I'm the only one who doesn't have the time for entire campaigns of that.

The Giant Europe mod/scenario took me serveral weeks. It kinda scared me off at first but once I was in, it was totally awesome

Most of the big scenario requests are because of the successful mods like Europe, Soviet Storm, 1941 and WWI from PzC1.
A lot of people (including myself) love both regular campaign scenarios and grand ones. Different and unique challenges on their own.

With an maximum of 38x38 its not really effectively this new engine - I remember I played PC1 with many much bigger maps than that.
Hopefully they can improve this feature - otherwise I like to play back my Panzer Corps 1 again - the maps are much more interesting in Multiplayer action.

The Editor does allow for creating some very large maps.
Not sure of the limit, (I was able to have it generate a 100x100 hex map...why?, for fun) or the practicality per the power of your computer
I suspect the limit is 64x64 as the Random Map Generator gave me 'red letters' after that per the 'Custom' option.
It works, but allow some time for it to generate & I suggest removing some of the units. (as it generates many)

Experimentation is the key & hopefully the 'dev's will enlighten us more on this in the future.
