I receive the same error. I was working directly with support (sent logs, tried different suggestions, etc.) but the support person stopped responding to me. I also tried a number of things noted in the threads but to no avail. I have given up on PC2.

Same here sadly. UNREAL ENGINE 4 CRASH REPORT, only I was unable to post it. When PC2 came out inititally, I was able to play a single tutorial...so I got the "You're the Greatest" trophy; wheeeee! I haven't been able to even open the game since and STEAM won't refund as I've "played" 5 hours now.

Help me Obi Wan!

Hello, I encounter the same problem as "Dagolbeart" (report perfectly identical).
When starting the game. I tried to launch it as an administrator. I also uninstall the game, check for updates (processor, Nvidia...)
Note that the previous version 1. 03 was working properly. Do you have any other solutions please.
Note that I can't open the file 01_01_00b_Hotfix (as an administrator also) message "failed to open descriptor file…/…/PanzerCorps2.uproject"
This may have something to do with the inability to launch the game?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

1.1.0b hotfix has addressed this issue for most users. It should install automatically for Steam and GOG users. Users of the standalone version need to download it and manually extract the archive to PanzerCorps2/Binaries/Win64 subfolder in the game's install folder. EXE file inside the archive is game's EXE, not an installer.

It looks like there are a few people who still have the issue even with 1.1.0b installed. I don't fully understand the reason, but I have an experimental fix which we'll deploy asap.
