Game #1:
I played my first game on experienced as Rome to about #200. By that point, I could see that I was doomed to lag mode. But I had learned the mechanics by then. Also, I was unhappy with allowing myself to export which became a time consuming exploit. Normally, I might say cheat, but WASD - so, exploit.
Game #2:
I played Rome experienced with no exports. I am at #430, and really cannot lose no matter what happens to Rome. But I must admit that I have found it fun 25%, and monotonous 75.
Game #3:
Note yet under way.
Now, I realize that I can boost the difficulty and play Rome again.
But if I stay with EXPERIENCED (no exports) what faction will give me a 500 turn game?
---
My question isthat changing game difficulty is save compatibly. Does anyone actually change difficulty as part of their "in house" rule set?
Thank you.
