I have installed Spartan on 3 different PCs but cannot get it to run. It freezes on the "loading" screen.
PCs range from a Pentium II 500 M to a Pentium 4 3.2 G with the latest vid and sound cards. I have deleted the movies in the data folder, but still no luck.

First thing. How did you purchase the game? What was the publisher etc?
Secondly, can you be more precise about where you crash - which loading screen, etc.
Spartan & Troy have very few compatibility problems, so hopefully it should be simple enough to get you running.

hello and thanks for the quick reply...
I purchased this through Amazon
publisher? the box reads Graphsim entertainment.
I installed it with no issues.
insert the cd, hit the launch Spartan icon and then select play Spartan.
a gif comes up that looks like a guage of some type that reads "loading"
that is as far as the application goes. never loads. no activity on the pc. tried going directly to the drive and selected the game. still can't get by this loading screen.
as in my first post, I deleted the movie as suggested in teh read me text file, butthat didn't solve it.

Did you try pressing Escape when it stops loading?
I know this sounds too simple, but try it
I get some weirdness with that opening movie in Spartan too. But I just press Escape and it skips the movie intro.

Ah ha. OK. If you have a Graphsim version, there was an error in duplication which led to increased problems with the copy protection. You should apply the following patch and you should be OK.
http://www.graphsim.com/DownloadableIte ... n-1017.zip
Hope that sorts you out!
