Captured/Deserted

How are those numbers calculated? It seems to me that almost all the soldiers of the victorious army that were routed during the battle are "replenished" and not counted as captured/deserted. It seems that for the victor, only the units truly dispersed during in game are counted in that number. This of course makes a battle who was won 50-60 a seemingly overwhelming victory in the "casualities screen", suggesting that it had been way easier than it actually was.

Is this accurate? Wouldn't a fair % of the fleeing units desert anyway after the battle? Of course ingame we see the unit mantain "cohesion" while retreating and only disappearing when it disperses, but I think small groups of soldiers would start to disperse anyway if the unit doesn't rally by the end of the battle.

Or not?

We think it reflects reality.

What if I wanted to tweak it for my personal preference in a-historical battles? Is it possible? How?

You would have to mod the BattleEndedCallback() function in CombatTools.BSF

[Edit: Should be CampaignTools.BSF]
