Who's seen it? What did you think?
Personally, I loved it. Im more than willing to bet it touched a lot of sore points with some, but I feel that the movie itself was very well done. The action scenes were tasteful, the plot actually somewhat believable, and definitely not too cliched. It was dark, but I thought that it was brilliant.
it was ok

I thought it was supposed to be a movie, where the Germans won world war 2 and a survivor took revenge on the nazis.

Uh...
It was definitely based in england. Germany did not colonize america. Nor did they live in london.
WW2 did not come into it.
There was a guy with a vendetta, and he was a survivor.
I don't know

What you heard, but my friends who were talking about it were saying the same thing I said along with my dad?

V for Vendetta is set in the UK the whole plot is that they are trying to blow up the houses of parliment on the 5th of November. It's set in the future in a rather Orewellian society, where "big brother is watching you", ala. 1984.
So yeah... no Nazi's, no Americans (unless you count Natalie Portman who actually does keep up an english accent rather well), and no WW2.
