Hi, I wish to buy the Fields of Glory rule book. But I am having trouble finding where to buy minatures? Do you have an online shop for these ? My local hobby store sells warhammer, Flames of Glory and a couple of others but could offer no help with any miniatures for other games.
thx.
Mick.

Hi Mick,
Do you know what scale figures you want to use? There are several scales that people use to play FoG, 15mm is the most common, 25/8 mm next most popular then 10mm and 6mm (generally based on 15mm base sizes).
All told there must be 30 or more manufacturers of miniatures that are suitable. There are a couple of FoG related websites that have links to manufacturers by army:
http://www.madaxeman.com and
http://www.miniatures4wargamers.com these are good places to start.
Where are you based? It might be possible to point you in the direction of a local group or at least a player or two who already plays the game.

Hammy's advice is good. It is also worth noting that there are no "Official" FOG miniatures that anyone is "required" to use. You can use figures from any manufacturer you like. Ancient/Medieval wargaming is a well-established hobby and there are lots of figure manufacturers, as you will see if you check out the links Hammy posted.

There are however 'official' FoG figures being produced by
http://www.wargamesfactory.com they have a small but growing range, currently 28mm Romand and Celts but probably 100 years war will be added before too long.

But you don't have to use them if you don't want to.

"Official" as in they are licensed to use the name on their product.

And so far you cant actually make a Fog Army with their figures.
If you specifically want romans or gauls in 25mm they are a chap start but otherwise you'll need to go elsewhere.

Isn't that the definition of "official" in this context?
I agree that at present you can't actually field a FoG army from their products but you may see them in a shop with the FoG logo on them.

If you want 15mm then have a look at these ( abit nearer 18mm but great figures though)
http://www.xyston.com/
If you are in the US then some of these are really good (but are quite small or rather thin )
