Install Field Marshall Edition Over Base edition?

Hi,
Loved the base game so much I bought the Field Marshall edition! In running the setup for FM, should I just install over the current edition or completely uninstall base game?

I would try just running the installer and selecting to activate your FM code.
That SHOULD be enough.

I upgraded from base to general edition after Steam refunded my base purchase. It went in the same folders but I did not find the save games would work and had to start a new campaign.
