Last night I finished the "Persia" mission. I loaded up into troop deployment for the Caucasus Map. As it was late I saved and closed up shop. When I returned today I could not load the Caucasus map. I tried loading the last save from Persia and was able to but as soon as I finish the Persia map and attempt to load Caucasus it freezes again.

What I have done:

Uninstalled and Reinstalled the game
Confirmed file integrity on steam
Changed graphics settings to minimum
Changed from Windowed to Fullscreen
Loaded multiple other saves

In conclusion the only Map I cannot load is Caucasus. It locks up my entire PC so that I have to dump power. I cannot ALT+CTL+DEL as it will not minimize the game to access the screen to close the game.

My computer is a Intel 7900x with 64gb of ram and a EVGA FTW 1080Ti. It should not be any sort of resource issue.

Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: Note this is the steam version of the game.

I am having a similar problem. I loaded a save game after "Paris" and any of the following mission selections result in the game freezing. Not only this I cannot load those missions from the campaign selection either so it is not a save file problem. Similar to the OP I have tried verifying and reinstalling the game with no change in outcome

My system is a Ryzen 7, 32GB RAM, 1080Ti, so I doubt it is a problem with the system.

I would like to note that this did not occur when I scouted out the maps of the following scenarios last night, so perhaps it is the update I downloaded from Steam before playing?

Yeah I have the exact same issue on the also on the Caucasus Map.

Up to now I checked the file integrity on steam and tried to launch as administrator.

Sadly I was close to finishing the map before I had to save and leave the game.

When I came back to finish what I started it did not work anymore
