New Computer Luck?

I purchased on the first day Field Marshal Edition. I've been watching the Tech Support and other postings.

Just maybe I got Lucky? I happened to get a new computer recently because of Windows 7 no longer being supported. I also purchased a pretty high end computer other than not going all the to I-9 and instead taking I-7. Graphics I went to 8meg and 32g of Ram. So far PZ 2 is working for me although I'm sorry to see all the postings of problems that have been posted. Just maybe if I had not updated to win 10, graphics, memory etc. I would be posting the same.

Seems to me such is life, sooner or later you must update or you won't be able to play the latest games. I have found that while "minimum specifications" may be posted for a game, it is possible that it is better to be well above those specifications. Hopefully my new computer will work for at least a couple of years. Whether it does or not I know that sooner or later I won't be able to play the latest games.

there's many reasons why some are having issues and others aren't, here's just a few of them in my honest opinion in no real order of tech support posts so far,...

older drivers used...

lack of drive space..., making windows work too hard and that passing on to more work for the GPU as it strains to get information from memory to Vram fast enough, plain and simple...

too many apps and programs running in the background,...

very poor AV used, almost the highest reason for refunds or game not working etc, same useless programs as always in the list, F-Secure, Bit Defender and Avast, as always...

old cards, no capable of doing the work, and Dual laptops as always with Intel GPU and then any mix of AMD or Nvidia dedicated cards installed.

laptops, well where do i start?

power saving mode, means everything works to save the life of the battery, like fitting a Porsche engine into a mini then filling with diesel, going to do get hot and work like a donkey real fast, then slower memory, slower hard drives and slower dedicated cards, add in upgrade from a previous version of windows even 10 etc as there's been 5 or 6 new versions to date, let alone those who have done one from windows 7 and 8, means errors....

i could go on and post so many i'd bore you to death...

windows, always works better with a fresh clean install, not a upgrade fact!!!

windows always works better with less junk installed per boot, so the less apps and programs you run at startup, the less errors or chance of getting errors will happen, to break it down and make this part more simple, think of base memory addresses etc,

2 apps or programs can't or mostly can't access the same memory address at the same time, or windows hangs or crashes or both, add in the game part on top of this, and soon something throws a spanner into the works and doesn't like the access time and say, wait a minute, something not come back what i've asked for, i'll throw a wobbly and quit this, as i';ve waited far too long, and everyone says, cr@p game crashes all the time, when in fact 99% of the time, windows crashes as some junk running in the background doesn't like to share a given memory address with another piece of code running, so less junk loaded, less chance of conflict...

with is just another reasons why a new pc and newer installed by date O/S works better than older ones, then someone posts, well 99% of my other games install work fine with no errors, well good for you, but as soon as they post a report and log file, you find this isn't quite true either, as the logs and reports show 8 or 9 the max number of errors kept in the report are all full, so while they may not be aware of them, windows is and was and reported them all, and we read them.

glad your enjoying and having no issue, tbh apart from some high GPU numbers on my 6 year old test pc's, on my newer gaming rig, i'm not also

I upgraded windows not a fresh install

Computer more than 5 years old

Fact: Games runs 100% fine high setting although its prob just complete waste of power ..

your fact is not someone else's fact.

3440 x 1440 ultra wide ...

You dont have to try run game on max settings the game to me looks hardly any different medium to max but just drops the fps ...

Since this is a turn based game not an action shooter the Fact that you spend 99% time zoomed right out anyway there is no need at all to run at a high frame rate it makes no diff at all to game play or how it looks.

Set target frame rate lower if you have system that cant handle it. Turn off v sync what ever you need to do its very simple stuff.
