So, I'm starting the second Low countries scenario (north) and I only have 450 prestige.
Not even enough to get a few units up to strength again.

Had a look, via the editor, and none of the scenario's I've looked at give prestige for campaign, at the start of the scenario.

Am I missing something?

I think you get a prestige award based on the number of turns you finish a scenario earlier (its a percentage that you can check by clicking on your prestige in game). Also you get more prestige per turn than in PC 1. Finally capture as many flags as you can before you capture that final objective.

You don't say what level you are playing on, it makes a difference.

Prestige is awarded on a per turn basis, and for capturing flags, and some objectives may give bonus prestige. The only prestige you get for finishing a scenario is the remainder of your per turn prestige. [The point is to remove any need to avoid ending to get more prestige]

Prestige management is a big part of the game and has a learning curve.

A short term solution is cheat code 'setany prestige X' which will set your prestige to the number X that you type in.

I have been wating a couple of turns before taking the last objective. Thought I was gathering prestige.
Guess that's not a thing then, if you get the remainder anyway.

On the contrary, you lose prestige if you wait, because prestige for remaining turns is increased by a certain factor, which depends on how fast you finish. Hover prestige number in the top bar, and you will see in the tooltip how much extra you would get if you finished this turn.
