as soon as i click on play in the pop up window, a new window opens with the error message:
"The following component(s) are required to run this program: DirectX Runtime".
I´m running win10 up to date, checked dxdiag, tried to reinstall DirectX, but it says all is up to date. Reinstalled grfx-driver, even tried a winrepair to check for corupted files, nothing changes.
donno what else to do, I'd appreciate any help.

standalone or steam or GOG version?

You must install Visual C++ all the prerequisites needed

its the steam version 1.00.04 of the game.
yes Visual C++ has been installed via aio-installer and is also up to date.

i got the solution from an answer in the steam-forum. Game is now up and running.
