Orders to distant lands are overpowering the queue.

I have 6 (out of 9) order slots filled with orders to go explore distant lands. It's a bit bothersome...so I thought that I should go clear a couple of these decisions. I opened my order log and to my dismay I discovered that the lands that they want me to go explore are NOT clickable.

That means that if I don't already know (I don't) where they are located that I have to enter their names one at a time into the search bar and then go find them. That is OK for one or two now and then but I have 6 and it is pretty annoying to have to search all six of them.

To complete them some of the requirements want troops or ships in more then one region. In the future it sure would be nice if these goals could be made with clickable-links within the decisions menu.

I have had 6 of my available 9 decisions taken up by these "Distant Lands" quests for 30+ turns now, talk about super frustrating!

LOL< I just stumbled into one of the Regions on accident :) The quest has some nice choices for completion. I just added 250 culture to my Capitol at Tunes.

It's not a place.

Politics or views on it are removed as per rules

Ideally only one Periplus should be there at a given time, I'll see if that's doable relatively easily.

Thanks Pocus. If only two, that would be easy enough to use the "search" feature with. Clickable would be an excellent time-saver however. Either way thanks for the post, you guys do a heck of a good job!

I am currently in the same situation as the Ptolomies. I received, I think 5 all at the same time. Fortunately 2 of them were actually doable.

How does anybody even complete these? I can't travel to these locations because they are under control of another power (or the entire route to the location is). There doesn't appear to be such a thing as 'military access' in the diplomacy menu, so I have to declare war on each intervening nation in order to complete them? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

You could declare war on them and then immediately ask for peace. During peace you can traverse their lands.

That was ironic. :D

Ideally there should be a diplomatic option to ask for trespassing rights. I guess the reason why we don't have it is, that it would be easily exploitable for humans vs the AI.

If you are ally or CS (or the other is CS) then you have passage rights.

The missions are not meant to be always 100% doable each time, but if you fail, then can come again. And about that, the next patch will limit periplus to one at a time... At last!
