Ideas : "Apamea Update"

The Diplomacy update showed us great and audacious changes can be implemented into the game, and that Pocus listens to the players. With the recent discussions about client-states, it has come to my mind an overhaul update for them would be nice.

So far, these changes have been discussed on this forum :
  • The possibility to ask for enemy's client state regions (actually, Pocus even stated it will be featured in a next patch :D see thread here viewtopic.php?f=534&t=97306) and/or the ability to make a separate peace with a client state if WS with overlord stays null and WS with said client state is overwhelming
  • The ability to pass through ally's client state territory (Pocus said it might be fixed in the next patch as well, see thread here viewtopic.php?f=534&t=97305
I add this proposition I would love to see implemented to enhance even more the diplomatic aspect of the game :
  • The possibility to fragment (all of, or part of - depending on the WS) an enemy empire into smaller independent (or client ?) states during peace negotiations, like Rome did with the Seleucid Empire with the treaty of Apamea (and here is why I choose the "Apamea update" name xD)
This last point probably needs a bit more thoughts

What do you think ?

How would that work? Would you resurrect former nations that originally lived in the lands you now negotiate over?

Yes basically, or the same way nations emerge when a civil war erupts. I think it is based on the ethnicity

I like the idea, because it seems relatively historical (well, it is for Apamea but I'm unsure it has been asked often?) and also -- relatively -- easy to do. Now, my issue is that I'm entirely focused on the DLC so it could only be done in a future patch and not the one accompanying the DLC. But that's a nice suggestion.
