You are all cordially invited to attend the Northern Classic in Manchester this year.

Due to issues with securing the club for Saturday mornings, we have a new venue! The event will take place on the 5th and 6th of December at the Forge, Unit 1, Kestrel Rd, Trafford Park, Stretford, Manchester M17 1SF. The Forge is a modern, comfortable, dedicated wargames centre within easy reach of the area’s motorway system.

Entry fee is as last year: £25.00 payable on the day. I don't see the need to set up an eventbrite system as we won't be collecting any money - please either email me direct or reply to this topic if you are planning on attending.

The theme for this year is Steppes: Any army from any book with Steppes as one of their territory types. For ease, the full list of such armies is as follows:

Book One
Early Libyan
Kimmerian, Skythian or Saka
Early Eastern Steppe Horse Cultures
Sarmatian
Bosporan
Later Pre-Islamic Bedouin
Graeco-Bactrian
Parthian and Early Sassanid Persian
Numidian or Moorish

Book Two
Eastern Han Chinese - Steppe Special campaign only
Palymran
Later German Eastern (Not Italian Ostrogoths or Italian Lombards)
Northern Dynasties Chinese
Hunnic
Later Eastern Steppe Horse Culture
Western Turkish
Khurasanian
Rus
Bedouin Dynasties
Liao
Seljuq Turk

Book Three
Mongol Conquest (Not Ilkhanid)
Yuan Chinese
Timurid, Black Sheep Turcoman or White Sheep Turcoman

Allies are only allowed if they have steppes or the ally is only listed in the back of the book.

We will play on 6x4 tables with 800 pts per side. We will have five three hour games - timings to be confirmed.

All games will be played in Steppe Terrain.

Lists to fogamlists@bhgs.org.uk before 21st November 2020 please.

What, any legal ally?
Are all games going to be played on steppe like the advert said?
