Greatest turn arounds of all time?

I have just been play-testing one of my Anglo-Saxon scenarios where I was using a combined Mercian-Welsh force fighting against a Northumbrian army. At one point, at the end of my opponent's turn, I was losing 45-3 and thought I was completely doomed. Then I got 2 rallies to make it 38-3 at the start of my next turn and eventually I went on to win 73-41. That represents a turnaround of 74 points within one game!

What is the greatest turnaround that you have been involved in?

I have had nothing close to those numbers :o But in current Digital League I had quite a memorable match with my Dailami army vs an Irish Viking army, which saw not one but two turnarounds.

I nearly grabbed an early victory, and was leading with 40-10, but a viking unit rallied to put my score under 40, and the vikings were saved. After that it went all downhill for me as my Dailami infantry was nuked out by viking heavy infantry. The vikings were about to win, leading near the end with 59-53. Then fortunes of war changed again, as the remaining Dailami units refused to rout no matter how hard they were pounded, and the game ended in me "winning" with 61-59.

Well, I was the happy victim of Pete's resurrection from the dead. It was quite remarkable. I think that I threw everything into getting the 40% victory and as a result left myself open to massacre by Pete's reinforcements who were marching freshly into the maelstrom.

The only comparable game, where I won, was in Sengoku Jidai where my Ming were losing 39-6 or something. My opponent sagely predicted then that his troops were blown and that I would go on to win, which I duly did.

I would get on your horse quick and scarper. Those Northumbrians have form for chucking miscreants into snakepits! :P

The only one I can remember is playing as Indians against Romans. I had enveloped the Romans, yet all my attacks failed with disrupted troops locked in combat and my army was 1 point from loosing with troops Routing to the Romans rear. Next turn everything rallied and the turn after that almost everything rallied again and I had successful flank attacks with elephants across the entire line turning the battle around and winning.

Cannot match that Pete but I have managed to loose 29% in one turn to just two cavalry units winning and pursuing when the score was just 21-21 - that was a shock as it was also game over.
To paraphrase Lady Bracknall - that was not misfortune it was very careless.
