FOG: Empires Dark Ages Campaign

While FOG: Wolves at the Gate gives a player the ability to play tactical battles within the Dark Ages, there is no grand strategy game the equivalent of Fields of Glory: Empires. I think there is a huge market for a version of Empires set in the Dark Ages. Perhaps with different staring periods: 520 AD, "The Age of Belisarius"; 740 AD, "The Rise of the Franks"; 840: "The Fury of the Norsemen"; and 1000 AD: "The Norman Century."
If the team is planning this as a future expansion, forgive my jumping the gun.

Agree! There is a great opportunity and appetite in the market for such. I, for one, would love to see a sub-mod or option during such a campaign for Belisarius to ACCEPT the Ostrogoth offer to become Western Roman Emperor. He ultimately refused, and returned to Constantinople. Where he was, forever after, under suspicion by the jealous emperor Justinian. If he had accepted, he would have had the manpower of the Ostrogoth nation as raw material to forge into proper soldiers on the model of his own household regiment (bucellarii), which was the corp-de-elite of the army he took to North Africa and Italy. Of course, a civil war would have likely resulted, and we could see a scenario in which Narses leads an Eastern Roman army against Belisarius and the (new) Western Roman army.
THAT's a scenario I'd like to see.
