single player vs AI

Would it be possible for you to chose and select the composition of your opposition army , deploy it in its best position given the terrain and then let the AI take over the running of the opposition army for the rest of the game?

often the AI army composition and deployment can let the game down and if the single player could set it up and then let the AI run it, it would make all the difference. It would give the single player more of a challenge.

This option would take a significant amount of development time, so isn't likely to happen any time soon.

You could always go into the editor and make your own scenario. Which is quicker than it sounds. You choose all the forces and place them where you want.

You could easily make a mod where you edit the "enemy" army list with a fixed list to your choosing, then fight that enemy list in Skirmish mode. Doesnt solve the deploying for the AI side but generally the Ai deploys pretty well.
