Diplomacy Question

Hi, first of all I did not take part in the beta so I have noooooooooo idea of the changes that have occurred with diplomacy. I just downloaded the update and I am playing a game from the previous version, so maybe my issue has arisen from using the last update ...

In short I had a small war going as Rome against the Celticii, I took one of their regions and they proposed peace a couple of turns later. The diplomacy popup had no conditions that I could see so I assumed we were going for unconditional peace; however, in the turn that they accepted the treaty my captured region turned from being Roman back to Celticii, with a message along the lines of the Celticci conquered the region "through foul-handed deception," or something like that.

Am I missing something here???

When a faction asks for peace, trade, a transaction, etc., click on the name of the faction. That will take you to a screen where you are offered the choice of looking at the proposed clauses or declaring war. If you look at the clauses then you have the option of accepting or rejecting them, or making a counter offer.

In the new patch, when you take regions during a war, you're only occupying them temporarily, not getting stuck with them forever. In order to keep them after a peace, you have to ask for the ones you want in the peace negotiations.
