Slitherine has been working in collaboration with Morningstar Entertainment and Spike TV on an exciting new series called “Deadliest Warrior” premiering on the 7th April at 10pm ET/PT in the US. Slitherine has used its vast experience to created a complex and detailed engine that models the combatants and calculates realistic results. The Morningstar team have put great effort in to collecting real world data from lifelike experiments and then fed this data in to the engine to see the results immediately on screen. The speed of modern computers allows thousands of matches to be played out to calculate who really is the “Deadliest Warrior”.

Yeah I'm guessing Mr. Gladiator eats it when Mr. Apache drills him with his trusty winchester.

Is there any way we can download/purchase that simulator that is used on the show? If so, what is it called and where do we get it?

Thanks for your interest. Unfortunately its not possible exactly as it stands. We use a modified version of one of our combat system for the show.

The closest thign that is commercially available is the Great Battles of Rome on PC, PSP and PS2. The PC version actually allows you to modify files yourself and try thigns out if you are willing to get under the hood.

The next game based aroudn this combat system is Great Battles Medieval which is releasing later this year on PC, X360 and PS3.

We've been contacted by a lot of people about this so I've set up a discussion forum for it to answers the basic questions people are asking here
