Elite US Paras in Panzer Corps US Corps

I know this is a bit dated - but I tend to be a binge player (play it a ton, let it sit on shelf for months, come back, repeat)
But it seems like the Elite US Paras are worse than the regular 43 ones. Anybody know why this is?
Compared to 43 Paras:
Soft attack +1
Hard attack - 3
Initiative -1
Def -1

It's because the SE Airborne is available on the same date in 1941 as the regular Airborne unit and is a slightly better (+1 HA) version. The upgraded regular US Airborne 43 version becomes available on 1/1/43 but there is no comparable upgrade to a '43 version for the SE Airborne, hence it stays a (mostly) lower powered '41 version.

That is impressive knowledge and a very impressive level of detail... your xls is really amazing man!

Nico's equip file upgrade solves this problem by adding SE Airborne43 units.

I assume turn4441 picked up this info looking at Nico's work, I know I did

The +1 ammo would be particularly useful for paras. Mine always seem to be about to run out of ammo,

Actually, I just did a quick look at the spreadsheet I posted a while back, and Pete referred to in his post, which contains the original equipment file. See below.
