The highlight of the event is, of course, the

900 points doubles FOG tournament

“Age of Darkness”

Any army from Field of Glory Companion 7: Decline and Fall, or Field of Glory Companion 8: Wolves from the Sea, or from Appendix 2 in either book, can be used.

These include:

Sassanid Persian; Gepid or Early Lombard; Western Hunnic; Early Alan; Alamanni, Burgundi or Suebi from Early Frankish, Alamanni, Burgundi, Limigantes, Quadi, Rugii, Suebi or Turcilingi; Early Anglo-Saxon, Bavarian, Frisian, Old Saxon or Thuringian; Early Byzantine; Later Moorish; Later Visigothic; African Vandal; Italian Ostrogothic; Early South Slav; Lombard; Maurikian Byzantine; Christian Nubian; Avar; Western Turkish; Arab Conquest; Early Bulgar; Thematic Byzantine; Umayyad Arab; Abbasid Arab; Early North African Dynasties; Khurasanian Dynasties; Bedouin Dynasties; Dailami Dynasties; Pecheneg; Ghaznavid; Nikephorian Byzantine; Post-Roman British; Early Welsh; Later Scots-Irish; Merovingian Frankish; Later Pictish; Early Slavic; Middle Anglo-Saxon; Astur-Leonese; Andalusian; Early Navarrese; Carolingian Frankish; Viking; Magyar; Great Moravian; Early Scots; Rus; Norse-Irish; Early Medieval French; Early Medieval German; Norman; Early Polish; Anglo-Danish.

Only options permitted in the date range 496 AD to 1040 AD can be used. (No knights!)

Yep going to go not been to Wiltshire for many years! entry form will be done this week.

Anyone got any idea were a good place to stay for this weekend is, somewhere quite close.

Only drawback now that they have changed the date is that it now clashes with the next round of the BHGS doubles at the Armouries in Leeds,using Switer than Eagles by the way.Although as it is highly unlikely that many wargamers have made plans for it ,it may be worth seeing if I can move it to the previous weekend

Ah yes, sorry David, I had not noticed that. Of course, I have no connection with the Devizes club and merely got an e-mail asking me to take charge of the FOG tournament.

If you are able to change the Leeds date it would be fantastic.

Spoke to one of the lads from Devizes today and he said there was twenty teams.

Will there be a runners 'n' riders list by any chance????
